Rules and standards

Clear rules, better roleplay

Short on purpose. Every rule here exists because without it someone's night gets worse. Accepting them is part of joining, and they are versioned so you can see what changed and when.

Civilian Rules

Version 0.1Updated 9 Sept 2026

Standards for civilian characters, crime and scenario creation.

  1. Believable charactersCreate characters with sensible motivations and allow their actions to have consequences.
  2. Scenario balanceDo not repeatedly force extreme incidents or pursuits. Build variety and leave room for ordinary roleplay between major events.

Community rules

Version 1.0Updated 13 Oct 2026

The baseline that applies everywhere London One exists: in game, on Discord, on the website and in anything you say about us elsewhere.

  1. Respect everyoneNo harassment, discrimination, bullying, slurs or targeted abuse. Banter is fine between people who both think it is banter.
  2. 16 and overLondon One is a 16+ community. Some senior, safeguarding-sensitive or specialist roles are 18+. Lying about your age is a permanent ban.
  3. Play in good faithDo not start conflict outside the roleplay, bend rules to spoil someone else's night, or bring in-character grudges out of character.
  4. No sexual content, everSexual roleplay, sexual offences and sexual content of any kind are never roleplayed or shared, in any form, at any level, by anyone. First breach is a suspension; repeated breaches are a permanent ban.
  5. Keep real life out of itDo not share anyone's real name, address, photos or personal details without their say. Doxxing is a permanent ban.
  6. Staff decisionsFollow staff direction in the moment and raise disagreements afterwards through a ticket. Arguing with a decision mid-scene stops the scene for everyone.
  7. One account, honest identityOne Discord account, one ONE account. Ban evasion with another account ends both with a permanent ban.

Discord rules

Version 1.0Updated 13 Oct 2026

Our Discord is where the community lives between shifts. Treat it like the station canteen, not like a Twitch chat.

  1. Right channel, right contentKeep discussions where they belong and move when staff ask. Memes go in memes. Reports go in tickets, not in general.
  2. No NSFW, no gore, no shock contentNot in channels, not in avatars, not in usernames or statuses. This includes jokes. Repeated breaches are a permanent ban.
  3. No advertising or poachingNo links to other servers, no DMs recruiting members, no self-promotion outside the channels for it.
  4. Voice channelsPush-to-talk or a decent noise gate. No music bots in shift channels. Nobody wants your keyboard on the Airwave.
  5. Tickets, not call-outsReport people through a ticket with evidence. Public call-outs, witch hunts and screenshot wars are removed and can be actioned.
  6. Staff pingsDo not ping staff for routine questions; ask in support. Emergencies such as cheaters or safety issues can ping the on-duty staff role.
  7. PrivacyDo not share content from restricted channels, DMs or staff tickets outside them.

Emergency services rules

Version 1.0Updated 13 Oct 2026

Extra expectations for anyone holding a career in the Met, the LAS, the LFB or Control. These come on top of the in-game rules.

  1. Use what you are trained forOnly use the equipment, vehicles and permissions you have been signed off for in ACADEMY. No self-deploying into ARV, HART or incident command.
  2. Radio disciplineBook on, use your callsign, keep transmissions short and let Control run the channel. The Airwave is a tool, not a chat room.
  3. Record what you doArrests go through custody. Crimes go into Met Nexus. Patients get an ePCR. If it was not written down, it did not happen.
  4. Multi-agency means multi-agencyCoordinate with the other services at shared incidents and leave each one something real to do.
  5. Corruption is a storyline, not a shortcutA bent copper can be excellent roleplay when it is agreed with staff first. Off-books corruption to help your mates is a removal from the service.
  6. Rank is responsibilitySupervisors and senior officers are held to a higher standard, in character and out. Abuse of rank is dealt with as a staff matter.

FiveM Rules

Version 0.1Updated 19 Oct 2026

Technical and in-game conduct requirements for the server.

  1. Fair playCheats, injected menus, exploit abuse and deliberate disruption are prohibited.
  2. VoiceA working microphone and clear voice communication are required for normal roleplay participation.

In-game rules

Version 1.0Updated 13 Oct 2026

How we play. These exist so that every scene is fair to the people in it and worth the time they put in.

  1. Value the sceneGive other players time and space. Winning is never more important than a good scene. If a scene is going nowhere, talk it out, do not force it.
  2. Stay in characterOnce a scene starts, stay in it. No breaking character over voice unless there is a safety or rule problem; use the ticket system afterwards.
  3. Fear for your lifeYour character wants to live. A gun in your face, a car about to hit you, three officers with Tasers: act like it.
  4. No metagamingOnly use what your character could know from the roleplay. Discord, streams, out-of-character chat and other characters' knowledge do not count.
  5. No powergamingDo not force outcomes on other players or do things your character could not physically do. If it needs a dice roll in your head, it needs the other player's consent.
  6. New life ruleWhen your character dies in a scene and is respawned, they remember nothing about the scene that killed them and cannot return to it.
  7. Crime with a storyCrime is open, from shop theft to murder, but it has to make sense for your character. No random killing, no robbing people for the sake of it, no grief.
  8. Realistic driving and combatNo driving a hatchback like a rally car, no shooting from a moving bike at 90mph, no jumping off buildings to escape. If it would not work in London, it does not work here.
  9. Value the servicesDo not bait police for pursuits, do not fake 999 calls to waste a crew, do not attack ambulance or fire crews unless the scene genuinely leads there.
  10. Multi-character integrityA service career is your main character. Nothing you know or can do in that role may ever help your other characters. Breach it and you are permanently removed from the service.
  11. No cheatingMod menus, injected scripts, exploits, bug abuse and duping are a permanent ban with no appeal.
  12. Microphone requiredA working microphone and clear voice are required. No voice changers that make you unintelligible, no soundboards in scenes.
